Best Lightweight Single Stroller

It is the lightest and most compact travel stroller available. Its sleek design is simple to fold into a neat rectangle shape and the wheels turn more easily than some other styles.

It also has a large under-seat storage area as well as an arm-strap which makes it easier to carry around when you're not pushing it. But the canopy adjustment can cause lots of noise which could wake a sleepy toddler.

1. Contours Itsy

The Contours Itsy is a compact stroller that has a variety of features for its size. The basket in the back of the seat is spring loaded, so you can pull it down to store bags for diapers or backpacks into and it will then pop up to secure the contents. It comes with a child's accessory holder and an adjustable seat pad that reclines. This is more than you would find on a typical lightweight stroller.

It also comes with a canopy that you can open and shut to get the level of sun protection you want. The handlebars are adjustable in height for a comfortable fit in four different positions. However, we weren't thrilled with the quality of its ride on rough terrain. We felt that the suspension and wheels did not do a good job of absorbing shocks and bumps.

The stroller is ideal for traveling because it comes assembled in the box. It takes only just a few steps to make it ready to use. The seat can be moved forward and back to adjust the recline. It's quite flat. Two buttons on the frame make it simple to fold and unfold. And it fits into a very convenient carrying bag when not in use. It's actually one of the smallest strollers we test, and it can meet the requirements of many airlines for gate-checking and cabin storage on airplanes. Be sure to check with your airline before you travel because rules can differ. 2. Kolcraft Cloud Plus

This is an excellent option to those looking for a lightweight travel stroller. It has all of the features that parents want in a stroller. This includes all-terrain tires and front suspension to ensure an easy ride. It's also extremely light, weighing less than 12 pounds. It can be folded with one hand and stands up on its own. It even has a child tray and parent tray each with two cup holders.

Its design isn't high, and it did not perform well in our test of maneuverability. It has a flexible frame which makes pushing it over rough surfaces feel like lifting heavy weights. It may be fine if you use the stroller only on sidewalks with paved surfaces. But for most people, it's not a good choice.

Cloud Plus Cloud Plus has a three-tier extended canopy and a peek-aboo window to provide additional sun protection. Its multi-position seat can be used by children up to 50 pound and uses a 5-point safety restraint system. This is a fantastic feature for older toddlers who have outgrown infant car seats.

It's compact and folds down in one step. It is able to be collapsed by pressing a button. It also features a convenient, foot-activated break that's easy to install and release.

However, the handle is a bit lower than other strollers we tested and some parents may be uncomfortable for extended periods of time. The handle is secured in place when it's open. This is a good feature to have if are planning to use the stroller over uneven or gravelly terrain.

3. Munchkin Sparrow

The Munchkin Sparrow stroller is the perfect travel stroller for parents who are constantly in motion. The compact stroller is a breeze to fold down and up, and fits easily in overhead compartments on planes, as well as in trunks at the amusement park (no worries about parking fees). It is also equipped with a simple-zip carrying bag for easy storage. It can be used right from birth using the infant car seat adapter, and provides a decent amount of shade with its canopy (though not as much as the Nuna TRVL or Uppababy Minu V2). The only downside for some parents is that they find the design uninspiring and utilitarian.

The BabyZen Yoyo+ is a bit more expensive than the other single strollers with lightweights, but it was designed specifically for luxury urban and travel. It's one of the smallest strollers to fold (and includes a convenient carry case), and it has a nice amount of storage space, including the cup holder. The seat is comfortable for the child and the adult and reclines to a near-flat position. This is the only stroller that can be used with infants with the car seat adapter. Some parents with shorter legs might not appreciate the handlebar that isn't adjustable.

The UPPAbaby Minu V2 isn't the lightest stroller on our list, but it has many wonderful features that make traveling with kids easier. Its spacious seat reclines to a flat position, and comes with extra padding so that those naps on the plane last longer. The extendable canopy offers adequate sun protection, and the parent tray is spacious with plenty of storage. It also has a spring-loaded footrest that doubles as a handle when it's folded. The footrest is susceptible to damage from baggage handlers.

4. Uppababy Minu V2

Uppababy Minu V2 is an elegant stroller with top-quality design and high-end. Its compact design allows it to easily maneuver through narrow sidewalks and tight spaces, but its sturdy construction lets it handle rough terrain without compromising the comfort of your child. The spring-action suspension on the rear and front ensures more comfort for your child, and its sturdy materials ensure that it will withstand everyday wear and tear. Plus it can be extended to accommodate other accessories such as an infant car seat.

Even with a baby on the way, the Minu was a breeze to fold and move around. Its squat, almost square fold, which unfolds into thirds, is one of the easiest in our tests and allows it to be tucked away in overhead compartments of planes or public transportation. It comes with a single-action color-coded brake that is simple to use.

The seat has a multi-position recline and one-handed adjustable leg rest, making it easy to find the ideal position for pushchairsandprams your child. The UPF 50+ hood slid down quite a ways, which was great for protecting Cora's eyes from sun (though not quite as low as some other strollers). The medium-sized mesh window is magnetically attached to the canopy and closes without the need for noisy Velcro.

The Minu weighs just under 15 pounds and comes with an integrated handle that makes it easy for transport. It also has a shoulder strap. It can also be put in the trunk of your vehicle. It comes with a storage bag as well as access to Uppababy's TravelSafe program that provides two years of manufacturer's warranty and covers replacements for damaged items during air travel.

5. Joovy Aire

Joovy, the well-known brand of strollers that makes several models. This lightweight stroller is an excellent choice for parents looking for a sturdy stroller that can transport their children. It is easy to maneuver, has plenty of storage space, and is not difficult to fold. It's not ideal for those who want an automobile seat-compatible model or a double stroller, though. It doesn't accept infant car seats. Your babies must be able to sit up on their backs before you can use it.

This stroller comes with a number of solid features and an impressive price. It scored higher on Shop our collection of high-quality single pushchairs maneuverability test than other strollers with similar specs. It's an excellent choice for smooth paved surfaces. It also has a nice canopy and plenty of storage space, including a large tray for parents. The handlebar is smaller than average and the front wheel suspension is more rigid but it's still suitable for adults.

If you have twins or two kids of different ages you may consider a side-by-side stroller is the best way to transport them. Our favorite is the Joovy Twin Groove. It is loaded with features and a small footprint which means it can be placed into places where other side-byside strollers won't.

It comes with reclining seats, a large canopy with an opening window that can be seen from afar and lots of storage. It's heavier than the other side-bysides however it has a good capacity and weight limit. It can carry most kids up to 50 pounds. It's possible to include a bassinet on the front of the stroller to accommodate infants.

If you want a more luxurious version of this stroller the Caboose Sit and Stand Stroller is an excellent alternative. It comes with the same great features and can be outfitted with a bassinet so that you can bring your baby home in style from the hospital.
