The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It has a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the features of its more expensive counterpart.

In tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to help you map your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the top-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and plenty of features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the click of one button. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on the removal of larger pieces of debris like rice and cereal. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some other models and can remove pet hair without much difficulty. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot promises it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. As for the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical garbage into the bin hidden from view and cleans and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is wrong, such as a low clean water tank or a cancelled vacuuming session due to a full bin.

You can also create and merge actual rooms to alter the way that Q Revo will treat your home. This is a great feature for those who have multiple rooms in your home that have different floor materials or if there's a lot of clutter that needs to be removed frequently, such as clothes, toys and books. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding too, and it boosts suction when it senses carpet to ensure it's doing the job well. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as effective as the ones we've seen on the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and robot vacuum that comes with a variety of convenience features you don't often see on robots of this price. It can make detailed floor maps and detect different flooring types. It's also among the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. But while these functions are great but they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category and could mean it's a little more expensive than some homeowners require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall, with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which protects furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving through the home. Behind the pane at the front is additional navigation technology with sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and send it to its base station. The center of the control panel has a circular menu that allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The mops are also efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our wood, tile, and carpet tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
