The Eufy 11S is one the cheapest self-emptying robot vacuums on the market. It ably sucked up dry oats from hard floors and carpets with low pile in our tests. Its dustbin is easy to empty and open -much easier than some other models in the same price range.

It recharges at its base and resumes cleaning when it's ready. However, its obstacle-avoidance technology gets caught in socks and cords, and it's not able to go below low thresholds.

1. iRobot 11S

The 11S is among the cheaper self-emptying robots available and lots of people seem to like it. It's great for scooting under furniture and appears to be a great choice for people with hard floors or who want to perform light daily cleaning. Its suction is a bit less powerful than our top picks, but it's still effective. It also has a huge dirt bin and a battery which lasts for over an hour. The app lets you schedule your daily cleaning routine or pick a specific room. You can also map your home to help the device stay clear of areas you don't want it to visit.

The app is simple to use and has a clear layout. It's not a feature-rich app, but it is easy to use and lets you keep track of the robot vacuum and mop with self empty's activity. It also has a tutorial which will guide you through the basics.

Its cleaning pattern doesn't always appear logical - sometimes it goes in straight lines, other times it focuses on the edges of the room - however, Bounce Navigation ensures your entire floor is cleaned. It's not the best at climbing over obstacles. It was unable to get under our pet food bowls and pedals for the piano, and ended up getting caught in our 2.25 inch shag carpet multiple times.

While it is a good option for light cleaning We believe there are better robot vacuums than the 11S. The iRobot Roomba is simpler to maintain and maintain, with lower recurring costs and charges more quickly. The IQ XL will automatically empty the dustbin at the end of each cleaning cycle into the base, and then self-empty. The bin can store up to 60 days of debris so it won't be required to empty it more than once, unless your pets have hair that is long. If you do need to empty it, you can simply detach the side container and place it over your trash can and press the button.

There's not much to dislike about the Shark IQ XL, although it feels a bit less well-built than the Roomba 694. It's good in cleaning carpeted floors but doesn't match the iRobot Roomba i7 in terms of bare floor performance. The i7 is also more robust, feels more durable and sturdy, has less maintenance requirements, incurs lower recurring costs, charges faster, while offering similar battery performance, and comes with far more advanced automation features, such as no-go zones and the ability to select specific rooms for a clean.

4. iRobot J7+

This Robot Vacuum And Mop With Self Empty vacuum and mop combination is a rare find that does both jobs well. The iRobot Combo J7+ comes with all the features of its j7 counterpart including LiDAR mapping and self-emptying, however, it also comes with additional features for both mopping and vacuuming.

The new acoustic sensors help the j7+ recognize floor types, so it can choose between vacuuming and mopping on the first pass through an area. This information is also used to determine the best cleaning options for rooms that have carpets and carpets versus rooms with hard flooring.

It isn't the best at dealing with pet hair and large debris like sand, but it is able to remove these items with a bit of effort. It has good navigational abilities and two cliff sensors that stop it from falling down stairs or becoming caught on furniture legs.

The J7+ has some small flaws, namely that it can get caught on rugs or cords and it doesn't always turn off the mopping function once it's done vacuuming. This is a fantastic model that ticks all the boxes.

iRobot's j7+ also comes with one of the top self-emptying systems we've seen. It drops its 14oz/0.4-liter dust container into the base station, where it automatically emptys itself. This will reduce the amount of trash that you have to dispose of. You'll only need to replace the dust disposal bag at the dock every 60 days, based on how frequently you use the J7+.
