The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

In the course of testing, it was able to handle dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard flooring. It does not use LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do, to map your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features that include a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. It can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automatic schedules for a truly hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the push of a button. You can select an overall clean that emphasizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice, or opt for two detailed maps of your area to ensure that your home is properly arranged.

This robot vacuum is effective on both floors that are bare and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and clean large items up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not able to work with plush or high-pile carpets however, iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that concentrates on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a nice improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features superior filtration, which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price tag.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles like stairs and other barriers and to tidy up your entire home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundaries so that the robot can determine the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are as good as those on higher-end models. Its mopping system is superior - its spinning pads scrub your floors much more efficiently than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

The only issue is the absence of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. But that's not a major issue if you want to own one of the best robots available. The dust tank on the robovac is bigger than most of its competitors. Filling it up only takes two or three cycles, Best Robot Vacuum and Mop even when you have maximum dirt.

For the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has, which are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create little noise, so you can work or even watch television without being distracted. It will gently hit a wall or furniture and then move on when it encounters one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically transfers physical trash to the bin hidden in the background, as well as washes and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is good at notifying you when something requires attention, like the clean water tank running low or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled because of a full dust bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to alter the way that Q Revo treats your abode. This feature is helpful when you have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently remove clutter, such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best robot vacuum for pet hair performers in my test cleaning up debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first go. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best robot vacuum 2023 known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It measures over two feet in height and depth and weighs in at least four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and can clean up 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that can be used even if you are not at home. It also has an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.

The Omni Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its rotating mop pads that scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a massive battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as the ones we've seen on an ordinary robot vacuum for hardwood floors.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and robot vacuum that comes with a range of features that you do not often find on robots in this price range. It is able to create precise floor maps and recognize various flooring types. It's also among the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. But while these functions are useful but they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury which could make it a little more expensive than the average homeowner need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is slim and tall with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with a large bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture when you are moving around your home. Behind the pane at the front is additional navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which serves as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. If you click it again, it will shut it off and send it back to its base station. The central control panel has an oblique menu that lets you select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons open the app's settings where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This creates a precise floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck in messy areas. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability which clears 98.4 percent of debris from our hardwood floor test and taking out all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops are also quite efficient, removing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective at removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
