You can also swipe forward to listen to the next track or backwards to hear the prior track. The WH-1000XM5's battery capacity is exceptional. In our test we were able to get 31 hours and 53 minutes with ANC switched on, which is better than Sony's advertised battery time of 30 hours.

The WH1000XM5 comes with a fantastic mic for voice calls. There's no muffled or static audio in the background. The noise-canceling performance is also top-notch, and they're a good choice for public transport or the office.

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2

The Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2 offers a significant upgrade over its predecessor. It features a range of new features and performance. The Bowers and Wilkins PX7 S2 offers premium performance and features like 24-bit wireless streaming with active noise cancellation that is optimized and clear voice calls on any compatible mobile or tablet. The headphones are powered by Bluetooth 5.2, with aptX Adaptive. This is ideal for high-resolution audio as well as a fast video sync. The included 3.5mm cord connects to the USB-C port that is located on the right earcup. The status indicator on the earphone is a nice addition. It flashes green to signal rapid charging, and solid blue to indicate Bluetooth pairing.

The B&W app offers the same features as the onboard buttons in the hardware - bass and treble adjustment, action button assignment, wear detection, cycle through ANC modes and more. When you play music on your iPhone, the app displays album covers and track titles. Popular extras such as music presets, soundscapes and music mode are not available, however.
