1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest in Ecovacs line of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model that is dry and wet comes with the upgraded AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which gives improved mapping and obstruction avoidance. The system uses dual laser LiDAR, similar to that used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan up to 32 feet across by 270 degrees. This results in more precise mapping and faster response times and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with a rotating mopping mat constructed of chenille. This makes it much easier to scrub hard spots than traditional mops. In my testing the X2 Omni took just over one minute to clean its pad and get to work. I also noticed that it was much more accurate than previous models that were able to follow a grid-like path around rooms. It was adept at navigating my rooms by the corners and edges as well as make an "Zambani pattern" across the center of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station on a regular basis to empty the dustbin, and clean the mop with hot water prior to beginning another task of cleaning.

Like other Ecovacs products the X2 Omni is easy to set up and begin using. After that, you can launch the app and begin with your first task of cleaning. I was able dive into the settings and modify my floor plan in about 15 minutes, incorporating zones that are restricted for sweeping and mopping and reworking my furniture layouts, and much more. The X2 Omni was impressive in my tests. It scored well in the areas of pet hair removal and debris removal, and also achieved near-perfect results in crevices and edge cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

If you're looking for a powerful combination of mopping and vacuuming, check out the EcoVACS Deebot T10 Omni. It is the most advanced model of the T-line of the brand and comes with the latest OZMO Turbo 2.0 mopping system which uses dual-spinning brushes for more effective cleaning than traditional oscillating scrubbers. It also has YIKO, a natural language processing technology that is a first of its kind. It can respond to various voice commands. You can use the ECOVACS app to map your home, create cleaning schedules and adjust settings.

The biggest con with the T10 Omni is that it's unable to switch from mopping to vacuuming in one go. Both modes require that you attach and remove mop heads as you need to, which is fine for most homes, but isn't an ideal choice for those who have a busy schedule.

However, the Deebot Omni is a fantastic robot vacuum that delivers outstanding results in our tests on pet hair. It removed more than 96% of debris from our hardwood floors. This is a remarkable performance. It did an excellent job on tiles and carpets and removed the majority of dirt.

This robot vacuum and mop has an enormous docking station that offers cool water auto-cleaning for its mop pads, and auto-emptying into a 3L bag that is easy to replace, and hot air drying for quick and easy maintenance. It also has a huge water tank that allows for more frequent rinses and dry between mopping runs.

The Deebot T10 features an integrated wash tray into its base, which is similar to other mopping robots. It makes use of the wash tray to wash and dry the mop pads while it is using them. However, it doesn't come with a removable tray, which means that dirty water, dust and other grime builds up in the bottom of the tray over time.

3. RoboVac X8 hybrid

This is the first model of mopping from Anker which is well-known for its robot vacuums. It features enhanced intelligence and support for multiple maps, LIDAR scanning and twin-turbine technology that automatically adjusts for the surface you are cleaning. It's a mid-range robotic cleaner that's attractive, even if its claim of being a one-stop shop for floor cleaning doesn't quite make sense.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a standard robotic vacuum cleaner from the top with its circular shape with sweeping wheels, as well as an elevated area for sensors. On the opposite side, you'll see a motorised floorbrush as well as a single side brush that moves dust away from the edges and into the main path of its'mouth.' It's a little smaller than the main brushes of the iRobot Roomba S9, which I found makes it easier to get under sofas and chairs.

While it's controllable via the app it's also controllable via the app. X8 Hybrid also comes with physical buttons on its base, which let you select a cleaning mode, and turn the robot off and on. These buttons can be used to establish areas that aren't allowed to enter and view real-time maps. It's also a bit chatty, and will inform you of what it's going to do next (start cleaning) or notify you if something isn't working.

4. ILIFE A4s

This model is high-tech and sucks up pet hair, kibble and other debris with top-notch efficiency and maneuvers flawlessly around furniture legs. It comes with a feature set that is impressive, which includes two cleaning modes and an automatic docking station, and real-time obstacles avoidance technology. The Wi-Fi enabled device can be controlled best through the Neato App, where cleanings are scheduled and maintenance requirements are monitored. The X2 Omni is a great option for homes with a mix of hard and carpet flooring. However it will require some planning ahead to avoid getting entangled with electrical cables, toys or other unexpected obstructions.

This robot did well during our tests on hardwood floors and kibble. It picked up everything, from one rice grain to several dog food pieces with just one pass. It had some trouble with rugs, but generally speaking this vacuum cleaner is perfect for rooms with different flooring types as well as a mixture of pets.

It's not cheap but if you're able to afford it, this is a great option for those who wish to leave their home free to do other tasks or to take care of chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that boosts suction to tackle tough dirt or spills. It also has a battery-powered ElectroWall to establish boundaries for the robot.

This budget-friendly robot from a popular new brand is the cheapest we've ever tested and offers an outstanding value for the money. Its navigation system is basic and uses a super-basic random pathing algorithm, but it doesn't have room mapping capabilities, making it less time efficient than the other models on this list. It's still able to navigate under furniture and into corners. Mopping mode was very effective in our tests and picked up hairs that were straying and other debris.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not be as sturdy as the Roomba S9, but it does a better job overall in getting rid of pet hair from all surfaces. It gets rid of floors with less thoroughly and does a fair job on low-pile carpet, and it utilizes smart-pathing navigational technology to provide greater maneuverability. It also allows you to transfer it to a particular room, and its advanced suite of automation features include no-go zones as well as scheduling. It also allows you to pause and restart cleaning sessions, making it perfect for homes with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll prevents tangles with pet hair and other debris, and its self-emptying bagless dock station can store up to 30 days worth of dirt prior to needing to be emptied. It has a set of side brushes that are angled to reach into corners, as well as a multi-stage filter system to capture dust, dander and allergens.

This vacuum feels solid and well-built, and it has a smartphone app that enables you to change its vacuum settings and schedule cleaning times in advance.
