This alone is what sets it apart from competitors since it drastically reduces the time and effort that you spend managing its maintenance.

The S8 Pro Ultra comes with an easy-to-use configuration. It requires a Wi-Fi connection in order to download its companion app and pair it with its docking station, which includes an additional mop pad as well as a power cable. Once you've done that, you're set to begin cleaning.

In our tests, we observed that the S8 Pro Ultra was able to remove the majority of the surface litter as well as embedded dust on floors with a medium pile and bare. It responds to voice commands better than most competing robots, such as the $599 self-emptying Neabot N1 N1.

In addition to letting you control the robot via remote or smartphone as well, the iRobot Genius app makes it easy to set up the j7+, set an agenda, and fine-tune other settings. It will guide new users through the process of onboarding to assist the robot in mapping out their space for cleaning and also learn about their home.

The j7+ has a larger dust bin than many of the other self-emptying robot vacuums we've tested. This lets it hold more debris, but you'll have to empty it every seven to eight months (or more frequently if have many pet hairs or other heavy debris). iRobot provides replacement bags and filters.

The j7+ also comes with a front-facing camera that is designed to help the robot avoid hazards such as power cords and pet waste. The camera doesn't work as well in dim lighting, though, so you might want to consider a competitor that has a better camera, such as the Roborock S7 MaxV.

I was also delighted to discover that when docked, the iRobot+ will automatically empty its dust bin and put it into Clean Base Automatic Dirt disposal. This is a major improvement over other models which require you to open manually and empty the bag. This tiny detail will make your life easier and less stressful.

3. Ecovacs Deebot T10 Omni

The Deebot T10 Omni is a sleek robot that offers impressive cleaning performance. The T10's clever features are more than enough to make up for the absence of a remote. You can quickly start or stop a cleansing cycle or schedule it and modify the settings of the device with the app.

4. Shark ION XL

The ION XL, Shark's most sophisticated self emptying robot vacuum pet hair-emptying robot vacuum, is a fantastic choice for those who want to clean their homes without lifting a finger. It also has exceptional performance. The vacuum comes with large bins which can hold one month's worth of dirt, and the base can be programmed to automatically empty it at the end of every cleaning session for longer-term storage. The ION XL is one of the top robot vacuums on the market for both carpets and hard flooring, and it can also sweep and mop your floor. You can control the robot through an app or voice commands. You can also make an outline of your home whenever you want. The robot can also move around furniture and traverse stairs and carpeted rooms with ease.

I tried the ION XL in a family and kitchen room with hardwood floors, area rugs and a standard test for debris. It did a great job cleaning up debris and pet hair from the floors, and also took care of some of the more difficult crumbs on carpets. It was also excellent at moving around my bar stool and didn't get in the way of them as the iRobot j7+ did in this test. The only downside to the ION XL is that it can't detect cords, shoes or toys within its path. It is necessary to clean your house before you start this robotic vacuum if want it to avoid them.

The ION XL robot cleaner is not as intelligent as the iRobot j7+, but it's an excellent option if you do not need to spend more than $500 on a robot. It's better than the eufy RoboVac 11S, in many ways. It's more easy to maintain and has lower monthly costs. It's also better at cleaning floors with no carpet and removing pet fur, but not as good on low- or carpets with higher pile.

It's not as robust however it's an excellent choice. The ION XL is a powerful machine with a huge capacity bin. It can be operated by an app or a voice command and is easy to maintain. It's also a good price.
