BMW Ghost Immobiliser

The Ghost uses the CAN data bus to communicate with your vehicle. This stops thieves from replacing the ECU or putting in a new lock to bypass the security system.

Like other immobilisers, unlike other immobilisers, the Ghost doesn't use LED indications or key fobs. Instead it uses the buttons in your vehicle to allow you to enter a unique disarm sequence that you only are aware of.

Stop & Start

If you have ever driven a brand new BMW or used the stop start feature, you may have noticed that after stopping the engine will still continue to run for around 30 seconds after releasing the brake pedal. The BMW engine management system continues to check the vehicle for a signal that comes from the ignition key. If it detects this the vehicle will continue to operate. Our BMW ghost immobiliser is a revolutionary next-generation device that does not require cutting OEM wires or adding an aftermarket alarm and key fobs. It is connected to the BMW CAN data network and is programmed with an unique PIN code which is accessible via buttons in your car. This allows you to enter key sequences that are not accessible through the standard menus for media. For instance the volume up/down button, or source controls, air conditioning, cruise control etc. The PIN could be between 4 and 20 numbers and is therefore difficult for thieves to guess or break.

In addition, we can also add a service / valet mode to the system, this is activated when the car is in for servicing to ensure that the Ghost remains hidden from the garage. You can activate this mode by pressing the service button five times on your infotainment unit (the system will flash with confirmation) and the Ghost will automatically re-arm when you return.

Service / Valet Mode

The Ghost is a market leading immobiliser that is designed to protect your vehicle from being taken through key cloning and hacking. It uses the factory buttons of your vehicle to generate an individual sequence of pushes that only you can identify. This is similar to the pin code security on your mobile phone. It's incredibly discreet and quiet, not to mention stopping even the most zealous thieves from ever trying!

If you are parked at home or in an event where you meet and greet, the Ghost can be put into service mode, which allows you to start the vehicle using your keys normally, but prevents the engine from running until the correct code is entered. This is perfect for those who need to give their vehicles to valet services or trusted family members and friends. This lets you take your car to the garage for repairs, etc. without having to worry that it might be altered by mechanics while you wait.

When the service or valet mode is activated it will block your BMW from being able to drive when it is first started. This stops anyone from test driving it whilst you are away. Once you return it will return to normal stopping your vehicle from being tampered with or stolen again.

We can mount the Ghost to any BMW All you need is the correct keys since it doesn't require the original remotes and can be used in conjunction with them. Anti-Hijack

Ghost developed this discreet device that is obtrusive, and unobtrusive to fight the growing sophistication of hi-tech thieves. It is designed to stop thieves from adding a new key or replacing the ECU to start your vehicle and drive away. Ghost is connected to your CAN network and uses buttons on your vehicle to create an individual push-sequence that has to be entered before the engine can start.

When the anti-hijacking feature is activated, any attempt to restart the engine will be stopped. The system will honk the horn flashing the indicators, and stall the vehicle in the event that the code cannot be found. The Anti-Hijack feature can be cancelled by entering your push sequence, or by enabling service mode, which allows your vehicle to begin and drive, without having to enter your PIN.

If you own a GPS device linked up to your BMW it could be used to turn off the Anti-Hijack feature, so you can still use the navigation system in your car even when the vehicle is parked and not being watched. If you own a smart-phone, you can also hook it up to your Ghost app to control the anti-hijack feature and other functions.

This is a Tassa certified product that is recognized by the majority of insurance companies. It will also help reduce the chance of your prized possessions being stolen. It is completely discrete and won't interfere with the functionality of your vehicle. It doesn't require any special programming knowledge to install or use. Remote Control

We can connect the ghost immobiliser range rover device with your mobile application to allow remote control of keyless start and go capabilities. This is helpful if you have to go somewhere in another location and a mechanic or valet needs to start your vehicle. The system lets you start your car by selecting drive, then quit the service mode without having to use your key fobs. You can also view your vehicle in real time on a map using your smartphone, perfect for tracking your car whilst on the move.

The Ghost can be fitted under the dashboard or inside the centre console, it is completely concealed and tamperproof and does not require additional wiring. The device is connected to the vehicle's CAN Data Network (similar to an Ethernet cable) and a personal PIN code is embedded into it. This pin code must be chosen prior to the vehicle's start. This stops thieves from using a cloned key or replacing the ECU to bypass this system.

If the vehicle is stolen, the Ghost will enter a service mode and disables all functions unless a PIN code is entered, or you use the mobile app to dearm it. This feature was developed to protect you vehicle from thieves with high-tech equipment who use relay boxes to take it. It also stops thieves from using their mobile phone to turn on your sat nav system or MP3 player to locate your car!

Ghost also stops 'Relay Style Frequency Amplification'. This is the most frequent method of stealing a vehicle with a keyfob which has been copied, or stolen by hacking. Ghost allows you to prevent this from happening by installing a device known as Secure-A Key inside your vehicle. The device is inserted into the key-fob of your vehicle and then removes the battery after a couple of minutes of inactivity. This can be done on the majority of modern PKE key-fobs.
