The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you are looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that's middle-of-the-road. It's a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking certain of the more advanced features found in its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. It does not use LIDAR however, as cheaper models do, to identify your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It is a powerful cleaner and plenty of features such as an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. The robot will learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automated schedules to provide you with the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the click of one button. You can select the general clean option which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as rice and cereal. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that your entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This quietest robot vacuum vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It is able to take large objects and does not lose suction as fast as other models do, and it can even remove pet hair without much difficulty. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot says it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug the furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features an advanced filtration system that blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price cost.

Its smart navigation system employs sensors that keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map your interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles, like staircases and other barriers, and to clean up your whole home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundary markers, so it knows to avoid areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine vacuuming and mopping and mopping, the Roborock Q revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those of more expensive models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a better job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

It's only downside is the absence of a second brush for deeper cleaning. But that's not a problem if you want to own one of the best robot vacuum for pet hair robots on the market. The dust tank of the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors and filling it up only takes two or three cycles even when you have maximum dirt.

As for the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has which are less powerful than high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or watch television without getting distracted. It will gently bump into furniture or walls and move on when it encounters one.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical garbage into the bin hidden in the background and cleans and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is adept at notifying you when something needs attention, for example, the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session that was cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create and combine rooms to modify the way that Q Revo manages your home. This feature is useful when you have different flooring in different areas of your house or if you need to regularly remove clutter, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwoods on the first pass. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a sensor that recognizes obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best self emptying robot vacuum known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it measures over two feet in height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has faster battery charging and can complete a cleaning of around 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also has a bigger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when required.

Lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and voice assistant that operates offline, so you can control it even when you're away from home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or Best Robot Vacuum and Mop rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.

The X2 Omni is the most effective robot at mopping. Its mop pads rotating scrub away tough stains, and its motor generates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent too and it increases suction when it senses carpet to ensure it's doing a thorough job. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as efficient as anything we've seen in an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end model that has a range of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It is able to build detailed floor maps, identify different flooring types and is among the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These are nice features however they can place the L10s in the luxury category. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners want.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's slim and tall with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage while moving around the house. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's one button that basically serves as the on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, while clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The center of the control panel includes an oblique menu that allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open up the app's settings menu where you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra works with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop effectively, without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors and taking out all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops are also quite efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
