The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that's mid-range. It's a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the features found in its more expensive counterpart.

In the course of testing, it was able to handle dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard flooring. However, unlike other models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to map out your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the best vacuum cleaner mop-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and numerous features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automated schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning process at the push of the button. You can select a general clean which focuses on the elimination of larger particles like cereal and rice. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that your home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vacuum is effective on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It can take in large objects and does not lose suction as fast as some others do and can clean up pet hair without much difficulty. It's a challenge with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however, iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a nice change from the standard hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features an advanced filtration system, which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating within your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price tag.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to remember the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers to ensure that the robot is aware of the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those found on more expensive models. Its mopping system is even better because its spinning pads scrub your floors much more efficiently than the vibrating pads.

The only issue is that it lacks an additional rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but it's an acceptable cost to pay if want to get one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank is larger than many of its competitors and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping device, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less abrasive than the higher-powered ones generate minimal noise, allowing you to work or even watch television without interruption. If it comes into contact with the wall or a piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and moves on.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical garbage into the bin hidden from view and also washes and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only notify you if something is wrong, such as low water levels or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to a full bin.

You can also create or merge rooms to personalize the way Q Revo handles your home. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or in the event that you have to regularly get rid of clutter like toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from both carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It is able to even clean up spills that are wet but I would suggest drying them with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo with all the features you can need. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a sensor system that can detect obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still big. It has a height of more than two feet height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that can be used even when you're at home. It also has an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the best robot at mopping. Its rotating mop pads clean tough stains and its motor generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge, rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping feature of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and robot vacuum that comes with a variety of features that you don't often see on robots of this price range. It can create detailed floor maps and identify different flooring types. It's also one of the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features, but they also push the L10s into the premium category. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners want.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's tall and slim, with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner when you are moving around your home. Behind the pane at the front is a second navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which acts as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will shut it off and send it to its base station. The control panel includes an oblique menu that lets you select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to map out your house. This helps the robot clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles and obstacles, which is a wonderful feature for families with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors, and taking out all but stubborn juice stains. Its mops are also quite efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our wood, tile, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard floor and quaker oats on the carpet.
