Active Noise Cancellation

Bose QuietComfort headphones are known for their excellent noise cancellation. However Bose also produces an array of high-quality headphones that do not require or provide this feature. The products typically have an expensive price and are made of premium materials but they're also light and sweat-proof, making them comfortable to last for long listening sessions.

The flagship 700s are an excellent example of this. They come with an upgraded eight-microphone system (six for cancelling sound, and two for picking up voice) and 11 custom ANC modes that let you hear the world or block it out completely. They also have a "Conversation Mode", which allows you to temporarily pause the music to announce an event or make a phone call.

Bose TruSleeve is another excellent feature. It's a removable ear cover that wraps around your neck and rests on top of your ear to block out noise when you are out and out and about. It's available for all QuietComfort models and can be adjusted using the app to meet your ears and your lifestyle.

The Headphones Beats have a neutral midrange response, which means voices are reproduced with great clarity. The only issue with these headphones is that they don't support the latest Bluetooth codes, like aptX Adaptive and LDAC, which allows for lossless playback.

The Bose Sport Earbuds are smaller and sleeker than the company's flagship QuietComfort Earbuds, making them ideal for working out and running. The earbuds have a battery life of up to 5 hours, which is enough for most exercises. The buds have a built in microphone, and are water-resistant. You can control them using the included remote or with the companion app. You can use the app to alter the settings for ANC and Bose's Aware Mode.

Controls

The 700s do not have physical controls for the ear cups, unlike the majority of Bose's headphones. Instead you'll find an electronic touch panel on the front of the right ear cup that can register swipes and finger taps. Tap twice to play/pause, swipe upwards or down to alter the volume and forward to skip tracks. One tap answers calls and a double tap rejects any call that comes in.

The headset lets you switch to the "aware" mode which allows for some permeability of your surroundings. It's a handy feature for anyone who needs to be aware of their surroundings while listening to music or making phone calls.

A motion detector shuts off your headphones when you are not using them. This is a great feature for those who are easily distracted or forget to turn off their headphones. You can change the Auto-Off timer setting on your Bose 700 headphones using the Bose Connect app.

The app allows you to customize the features of your headphones, which include audio settings, noise cancellation levels and voice prompt languages. You can also download updates for your Bose headsets. This app may require you to share your personal information but it's normal. It's also where you'll define your Bluetooth connectivity preferences, and it has an important battery reading feature that will let you know how much power is left in your headphones. Design

Bose has a reputation for comfortable headphones cheap, and the majority of their models do a great job of keeping the listener's ears from noise.
